The Bony Mountain Folk Festival is a delightful community event held every year at the wonderful bush retreat owned by our hostess, Norma O'Hara Murphy. The property is situated in Southern Queensland 20 minutes outside of Warwick, 2 hours from Brisbane.
The festival commenced in 2011, so we are now coming up to our 13th year! Our "little festival in the bush" is a laid-back, stress-free week or weekend (your choice) with no big crowds or hustle and bustle.
Our not-for-profit, family friendly event, all run by volunteers, has become a well respected platform for up-and-coming artists. We delight in creating a very special festival, celebrating the best of Aussie Music and supporting local, home-grown emerging talent (no overseas artists accepted!)
Our artists vary widely and festival includes some of the following entertainment and activities:
- Songwriters
- Bush Poets and Balladeers
- Country Comedy
- Celtic Bands
- Bluegrass
- Country
- Choirs
- A Ukulele School that runs all week
- Doggie Parade
- Market Stalls
- Great bush tucker
- Country Cooking
- Ice Cream Van
- Coffee Van
- Much much more!
This year we are presenting four exciting bands - Simply Bushed, Barleyshakes, Open Season, and the Bony Mountain Boys. Click to
